I am getting a new old 2x15 cab but it's missing a few minor parts, namely the Kustom badge on the front and the jack plate. Now, I can make the jack plate out of an old vinyl record but where am I going to find the name-plate? Keith

You probably know this already, but E-bay can provide things like that from time to time. I'd also Google Kustom and Kustom parts. I've been surprised at what can discovered that way. Enjoy.

Yeah well on E-bay I can find a badge for Fender, Marshall, Vox, Ampeg, Peavey, Carven, Hiwatt, Mesa, Boogie, Sunn, Acoustic, Traynor, Trace Elliot, Crate, Tempest, Chevy, Ford, Fiat, Suzuki, Snap on, Craftsman, Harley Davidson, and Village People. No Kustom Logo. I kinda like the Village People logo - Maybe I'll just go with that. Keith.

What year do you need? I have one from a 2-15 cabinet but it is after 1975. I think!

I found this blue sparkle tuck & roll cabinet on craigslist in Tucson Az. He's shipping it to me so I don't actually have it yet but it looks like a late 60's early 70's cab which should have had the plastic 2"x5" script Kustom electronics inc plate on the front.
Thanks, Keith.

I can't find it! But mine is a metal one that I am sure is not correct for the tuck and roll cabinet.

Well thanks for responding. For now I guess I'll just take one off of one of the cabs I don't use much, but eventually I will find one. Yesterday I went to a thrift shop and bought a nice thick old vinyl record and cut out little 2" squares and drilled them for jack plates. From a distance they look like the originals, but up close you can see the record grooves. Very cool!

Yes that's exactly the one! I bought it! Thank you! I've been looking for that! As for the jack plate, if I find an original one that would be better and I have pick-guard material at my shop but I chose record vinyl on purpose for the novelty of it. Thanks everyone for all of the help. Now I just got a big package from UPS so I guess it's time to start putting this all together. Keith.

If you have a Kustom badge on another amp make a mold of that badge and pour something like melted plastic in the mold. Paint it to match and it will get you by till you find one.

Did you know that the Kustom by Ross badges were a slightly different size than the Kustom electronics inc badge? tboomer pointed one out on ebay (thank you tboomer) so I bought it immediately. While I was waiting I took one off an old cabinet I'm not using. It slid right on there no problem-same screw holes same footprint. Then another one popped up on ebay. This one is a Kustom electronics logo where as the first one is a Kustom by Ross,so I bought it too thinking that the cabinet probably isn't that old. Well I was right. The Ross logo has the screw holes spaced a little bit closer. It also has double lines on either side. I thought they were interchangeable, but not with out a fight. Keith.

Better off to use a piece of aluminum to make the jack plaie and paint it semi gloss black. It won't break, ever!

Well there are at least three different badges on the t&r cabs. The "by Ross" badge, and two "electronics inc" badges, one with a flat black background and one with a corrugated background. Maybe I should have gone with the Village People badge.Keith
