It'll be interesting to see what it sells for....I've never seen a red one come up.

The guy selling it is one of our members here. Cabinet is in pretty rough shape even though it is red so not sure if it would really be considered a collector piece. I'm guessing maybe 4 bills. Hard to really judge by the pictures. Cleaned up and polished would definitely improve the asking price I think. About a year ago and guy here in Iowa had two of these in blue and mint condition. He was asking $550 each but don't think he ever got it since they were listed for over 4 months. But, you just never know.

This peaks my curiousity. Are the red 4x10 combos really that scarcely seen?

In the past year, I have seen at least 3 if not 4 of them posted on Ebay and a couple on Craigslist. Red is showing up more in the past couple of months in many different Kustoms. Like Bart said, if they are in mint condition, and most have been, they don't last very long.

The problem with that model is they are very top heavy and tip over very easily if you are going to gig with them. I know Pleat (who puts casters on everything) said you either put them as far out on the corners as you can or take pieces of wood and put it under each side and make an out rigger that extends out front and back and then put casters on so it widens the stance front to back.

Good advice Bart. So something along this line then. This I'm proud to say will someday be handed down to my son.

Bart are you saying Pleat actually modified a Kustom amp???? I never thought he would ever do that. lol Here I thought I was the only one who thought outside the box here(and told it wouldn't work). Smile Like Red Green says.....if the women don't find you handsome they should at least find you handy.

Oh yes, we have brain stormed some pretty cool ideas to make Kustoms even better in todays world. not many people know, or at least remember more about them than him. He has a mind like a steel trap...no crap, we worked together 1989-1992, I remember a lot of it, but he remembers things that I don't and I am younger than he is...lol!

Yeah I have dropped her down to nothing and still no trades offered and no takers. If it doesn't sell I know a teen player I am going to give it too.He about blew a gasket when he saw it.Someone gave me a 4x10 super when I was 15 .I still have it mint condition .Never giged it .Recorded with it a lot .It stayed in one room cover and case for 18 years at Brentwood Studio in Nashville.
