Troubleshooting power amp section on K150-8 slant face plexi. The output transistors are 2SD211M and i am wondering if these are suitable replacements.

The original output transistors were a selected version of and RCA 2N3055 transistor. The 2SD211 transistor is a similarly rated transistor that could be used as a replacement.

That being said, I would suggest that you use the commonly available 2N3055 or as an upgrade the MJ15024.

Have you tested the transistors?

The factory transistors where hand selected to be matched pairs so the crossover distortion would be minimal and power supply hum canceling would take place also, they may have tested for the rise time factor also which effects distortion .
Replacement transistors can be had in matched pairs for a added cost.

Your amp has been worked on it would seem, did you get it in a blowing the fuse state , or did this just start?

If both outputs are good do not fret about that for now , get the amp back up and running and then slapping in two matched outputs is a 10 minute job.
