NEW AMP DAY! I got the Cascade Challenger & compared to that 2-10 SC I just returned, it's night & day! It's 3 times as loud, effects work & sound great & tone for days. It's really clean cosmetically too. It is everything the other one wasn't.
I have to admit, I started looking at/for Kustoms mostly for nostalgia, but forgot that, at least for clean, they really sound great too! I think this sounds every bit as good as a Roland JC120...seriously.
Damn!...just what I needed....another gear addiction! I guess you guys are stuck with me...at least for a while...

Yeah, & not that much money either. I think it's ending up at just under $260. I guess I got lucky, no?

There is definitely something to be said about the Super Sound series
of Kustoms. I have a Hustler and it is probably the most quiet, cleanest
sounding amp of all my Kustoms. Good luck with this one!

If you think one sounds good Tony, put a processor pedal in front of 2 of them and run them in stereo and put one on each side of the stage! That is a mind blower and sounds incredible!

I've been running a K50 for years and finally decided to try my stereo processor pedal in stereo last summer. Huge difference in tone on stage. Now I run two K50's. I've owned this processor pedal since 1993 and never gave much thought to stereo. Wished I'd have tried it 23 years ago.

While I love the clean tone, I still haven't compared it to the clean channel on my Mesa Road King II. If I DO like it better, I will use it for my clean & the RK II for all my overdrive tones. I'm still a tube amp guy, as I love real tube distortion, as opposed to pedals. Speaking of pedals, I have a huge pedal board & going stereo would be a wiring nightmare, hehe! It's no picnic as it is, plus I have all the time-based & most modulation effects in the effect loops on the RK II. I probably will mess around with some stereo fun using my old RP12 multi-effect.
Right now, I don't have to worry about gig use. I'm having enough trouble getting a project/band going. I want to thank all you guys for making me feel welcome. You seem like a great bunch!

Both Pleat and I use a RP-1 lol! I have a full Risson Tube stack and it just sits, it will do 240 watts, 120 watts or 80 watts and sounds better than any Marshall, but it is big and heavy to lug around. I used to think bigger was better until I threw a K50 on the stage with my pedal in front of it and it cuts through the mix and isn't a lazer pointer like a Marshall 4 x 12 cab. I liked my over driven tube distortion as well, but if you take an amp that is very clean and then add effects, it is amazing what you can do. I even did the 4 wire deal with the effects loop and all of that stuff with my tube amps. Trust me, try this out and you will be amazed! That 25 watt amp will make a Marshall stack cry...lol! My Rhythm player has a Mesa and loves my Kustom so much that he wants one now!
