Ok guys how hard would it be to replace the naugahide on the lower front of a black 300 PA. I don't know how this one got torn but the entire lower piece across the bottom has a piece of black tape on it. This part has no tuck and roll. The sides and top appear to be ok. Has any ever done this type of repair? If needed I can post some pics later, but just wanted to get an idea.

Most of us call that part of a cab, the toe kick. Really easy to replace especially on an amp head. Remove the chassis bolts and slide out the amp. I remove all the staples of the torn piece and use the torn piece for the pattern of the new covering.

I will staple the new piece at the inside front of the cab at one side and work my way across to the other front side. Pull tight the material at the back side and staple.
Finally I staple the fold over part across the bottom at each end. Kind of trial and error to get it stretched right so you may have to remove a few of your staples and re stretch.

I've found material at home crafts stores, or you could go to an upholstery shop for the material.

If you have a Hancock fabric store in your area, they usually have material that is close in there value section. Try to find the heavier vinyl since it will hold it's shape better than the really thin stuff.

My brother does auto interior upholstery and he had a nice roll of black that matched nearly perfect and I took a BIG piece so I would have a bunch for just such occasions. The automotive stuff is the best stuff to use for sure.
