Hi folks!

I have an early Kustom J595 "Frankenstein" bass head, has very low output, and some distortion in channel two. My tech (who has always been extremely competent) says he can't find a schematic for this amp. Everybody has told me that these are early versions of the 200 series, he says it me a lot less power than that. I am positive there are people on this forum who are experts on these models, can anybody send me in the right direction for a scematic?

Thanks so much!!

If you go to the technical section of the site, the Frankie schematic is listed under the K200A section. The schematic has the words "Wide Panel" handwritten on it. There are three different versions of the Frankie heads, plain, reverb (pa), and reverb and vibrato. All three versions are covered on the schematic.

The design is entirely different than the K200A or K200B series amps, but will put out pretty much the same power as the later series amps.

The main power amp design has a transformer coupled driver stage and is somewhat similar to the power amp design of the old Vox Super Beatle amp. Those were rated at 120 watts RMS and the Kustom is rated at 100 watts RMS. It should be plenty loud when working correctly.
