I have a cab apart and forgot to notice which wires went to positive. I have red and black wires and a yellow dot on the speaker next to one spade. Should I assume red wire goes to the yellow dot???

Thanks
Steve

Yes, but test the cabinet with a battery when you are done to make sure that the speakers are phased correctly. The cones should push forward when a positive voltage is connected to the cabinet tip connection.

it's easy to test when your all done wiring with a 9 volt battery and a speaker cable, plug the cable in and touch the small terminal of the battery to the cables tip and then rock the battery over so that the other terminal touches the shank of the 1/4".
