I first saw Kustom amps when I was about 12 and I am 60 plus now. I never forgot that and finally purchased one yesterday. By the serial number I know it was made in 1970 thanks to your list. The model number can't be read but the front panel looks exactly like a K-50 only there is no number on mine where the 50 is in pictures. It has 1 Jenson 12" in it. What would be the easiest was to determine the Model number?
I did plug it in when I brought it home yesterday and it sounds great. Thanks in advance!

That is a K25. It was the predecessor to the K50. 12 1/2 watts into the Jensen. It was not in the catalog but if you go to the Literature section to other T&R, then Combos, and then SC Series the actual model is 1-12 SC.

I had looked at the literature but wasn't sure if it was K25 or 1-12 SC.
I saw a video recently titled "the 10 worst amps ever" and Kustom was #2 but mine works/sounds great and for a 50 year old amp that's hard to beat.
I really appreciate the info and replies.

Well the 25 and the 50 watt 1-12" combo do have a idle hum issue thats due to there circuit board design, but it's easy to Get rid of!
Oh, and by the way that no neck bald headed A hole who made that video should just say in his dungeon where his tin ear and useless opinion on Kustom amps belong!!!

On those two model combo amps most everything is on the board .
This means they bring onto the amp board A/C voltage to the 4 rectifier diodes and the pilot lamp.
The fix is to remove the diodes from the board and mount a new type full case rectifier bridge diode set up to the chassis.
The fix for the pilot lamp is to cut the circuit traces off at the lamp and then run a tightly twisted pair of wires back to the part of the board that feeds the lamp so as to no use that circuit trace.
If I recall right the lamp mod will remove the most idle hum from the amp.
