I have a KUSTOM VIII S-R-S amplifier. I loaned it to a friend, along with a couple speakers for a backyard party. He used the signal cables (2 - 1/4" instrument cables) I provided, as speaker cables. The amp now will not pass signal. It turns on and will register peak input when I drive it hard.... but no output. I'm assuming that the transistors were fried as a result of not using proper speaker cables. I love the sound of this amplifier, and used it to bi-amp some old PA speakers. I have searched high and low for a correct set of RCA transistors, but have had zero luck finding any. Any advice or tips for getting this thing repaired? Don't want to just trash it.
