I know this is really a long shot but wondering if anyone out there in Kustom land has any photos of the PREAMP circuit boards used in a K150-6 amp.
The circuit board I'm needing is designated PC5036. The reason is I have a K150-6 under repair and this particular PCB has had either a mod or a repair done to the solder side. It could be factory but it doesn't quite look very well done.
The amp works fine except for slight motorboating type sound. And it appears to be originating from this PCB.
I'd like to see if another PC5036 out there has this circuit mod done.
I realize this model amp is kind of a rarity so I don't have much hope of finding someone who has this PCB and woukd be willing to temporarily remove it to photograph the solder side. But there's always a chance!
Thanks!
Gary

You're talking about the slant-front 150 head, not the SC combo 150, right?
I have the latter, but I don't think those are very uncommon.

Yes the slant chassis head. I've been looking everywhere to see if there's a same model but so far I've come up empty handed.
I don't know if the combo amp has the same PCBs but I think so. Anyway I'll keep looking!
I got the head cheap so thought I'd take a chance on it to repair. Turned out the left channel had a broken input jack causing the initial problem.
After fixing that, the motorboating was discovered. It's definitely coming from the repaired channel. The other channel is supposed to be identical schematic wise but physically it's different so it's hard to say if the circuit "mod" on the left channel is factory or something else done later for some reason.
It's a mystery!
Thanks!
