OK I just got a Vox tonelab for my k200 b-1 head (I know its a bass head but it still sounds good with a guitar) now when I use the treble boost on the tonelab the head sounds like its starting to hit its peek but no matter what the volume is its gets really quite when hitting the highs

Thank you

My guess would be that your stomp box is putting out a signal that is too hot for the input of the K200. Try reducing the output from the Vox and see if that helps. The preamp stage of a Kustom has a very high gain and does not work like a typical preamp. It uses negative feedback to reduce the volume but still retain the high gain. See if lowering the output reduces the undesirable sounds.

I went to the vox site, make sure you do not have the output select switch set for digtal recording, it should be set for amp.

Thanks for the replys

It is setup for amp
the vox tonelab (just like their amps) has a very very very bright tone i'm guessing thats why the kustom doesn't like it that well

as long as you don't use the vox amp settings it sounds really good through the kustom

A number of years ago, I ran a frequency response test on a Marshall amp. I forget the model. The amp peaked about 20dB at 10,000 hz. That is huge. I'm sure the Vox is doing the same thing and the signal at those frequencies is overdriving the amp.
