I pulled a K200B-1 that I had not used in a while and found it makes loud BUZZING noise until the amp has been on 6-8 minutes. The treble tone controls on both channels seem to be related to the offenders, as closing them down helps to reduce it. After the amp gets quiet it seems to lack some of the power it should have. You guys know that I am about as technical as a wheel barrow....but, has anyone seen this before? BC Confused

Go to radio shack and get a can off freeze spray, and with a hair dryer warm up and cool down sections of the amp and circuit boards. It sounds like a bad connection and you may be able to narrow down its loction like this. It could also be dirty switch connection on the input jacks if the buzz and hiss go away with all the controls on a channel down. Sometimes incerting and removing a cord several times from the jacks will do the job without pulling the amp out of the cab.

PS. also tapping around in the amp with a chop stick can pin down lose components.

Ran into the same problem on another B-1 head today. Rolling Eyes Pulled the chassis and turned it on.....saw a spark on one of the terminals of one of the filter caps. TURNED IT OFF AND UNPLUGGED IT....then carefully loosened the screw....sprayed it with cleaner...cleaned the pots while I was there...checked the other screw trminals and put it back together. NO BUZZ! MANY THANKS FOR THE HELP! Cool BC

going over all those filter cap screws is never a bad idea, as is the female spade connector that goes from the speaker output jack to the driver board. some terminal cleaner and protector spray like the detox brand is a good thing also.Cleaning and re expanding the A/C plug can make a difference too.The k100 I just got had so much tarnish and green copper tarnish crap on it I though it had the wrong pilot light bulb in it, it was so dim from the amp not having a good connection.
