Hello, I have a challenger thats mint except for one thing the pilot light doesnt work.
I removed the head from the cab and removed the pilot light, its the smallest PL I have ever seen with NO markings on it!
It is burnt!!

Hi Tweed122,
It takes a GE335 bulb, which is 28 volts at 40ma

Don't use these two - these two bulbs are not correct and can cause the resistor to overheat:
Radio Shack 272-1143 (12 volts at 75ma)
GE373 (14 volts at 80 ma)
(Also, they will both last only about 15 minutes - don't ask me how I know this!)

Sources for bulbs:

#335 lamp - part # 209605CA - $.59 each

For Grainger store near you go to www.grainger.com (must have business account to order online)

Try to be real carefull when putting in the new bulbs, and even more so when replacing the blue button incert back into the switch. The plastic the switch is made of gets very britle as all plastics do from out gasing over the years( look what happens to most car dash boards after 6 years!). Make sure the amp is unpluged and support the back of the switch with your hand so as to not snap its round threaded mounting shaft where it passes thru the metal bracket.
