I have recently aquired a 1960's (I think)200 PA that doesn't work. I started with the fuse of course which doesn't appear to be blown, but doesn't conduct anything either. The fuse only says the voltage, not the amperage. It just says BUSS GJV 3 on one side and 250 VOLT on the other. How do I find out the right amperage for it? Many thanks!

Fuses usually have an identification number on it. Yours being a GJV3, GJV is the fuse type. The letters may have some significance to Bussman, but a catalog will show you the physical characteristics. The number is the rating in amps. So therefore a GJV3 is a 3 amp fuse. Other manufacturers will have different model numbers but will have the rating on the ferrule somewhere. Actually, the National Electrical Code requires this. Long explination, short answer.
