I have a new Weber 15" speaker to put in a single 15" cabinet.....dumb question---do I have to make sure that the pos lead from the speaker jack goes to the positive terminal on the speaker and vice versa? Or does it really matter in a single speaker cabinet? How do I tell which is the positive lead terminal off of the speaker jack if I need to make sure the pos lead wire goes to the pos terminal on the speaker?? THX all!

Yes you still should hook up the speaker in proper phase, just in case you ever hook up a extention speaker it will matter. I can not imagine that the new weber would not be marked with eitheir a red dot or a plus(+) mark for the hot terminal. If not just get a 9 volt battery, hook wires up to the speaker, the small terminal on the battery is plus so when plus on the battery and plus on the speaker are correct the cone will move out, not in. Do not be shaken by the noise or clunk sound the speaker will make when you hook the battery across it, it will not hurt the speaker.
